What do we do?
Selwyn Connect (www.selwynconnect.co.nz) is an online platform showcasing local businesses, events and activities. The website is a marketing and promotional tool – each business can showcase what they do as well as post specials, articles, photo albums, jobs and more. They are also promoted on our social media platforms and newsletters.
In addition, we offer the following:
- Selwyn Connection Magazine– In partnership with Clint Ward from XDC we publish a community magazine for the district with a circulation of 25 000 copies, distributed free to all letterboxes, PO Boxes, libraries and cafes in and around the Selwyn area
- Selwyn Weddings– a sub-directory of Selwyn Connect which focuses on showcasing the wonderful Wedding venues and vendors in the area (selwynweddings.nz)
- Selwyn Connect Business Workshops & Networking– monthly workshops focusing on various business-related topics such as marketing and business compliance
- Selwyn Business Network Facebook Group– an online platform to offer support and advice, get to know each other, and share knowledge and ideas with other small business owners
What is our target market?
Any small to medium business wanting greater exposure in the Selwyn District. By offering website, print and social media exposure your business is far more likely to be found by YOUR target market.

Why am I a member of the Selwyn Business Group?
I joined SBG when I first started my business and I was still fairly new to the area.
